CTTC team presents, participates at 2015 SEMDA meeting

A team of Vanderbilt licensing officers and engineers presented several Vanderbilt technologies at the 2015 Southeastern Medical Device Association (SEMDA) annual meeting as part of CTTC’s technology marketing efforts. This year, two Vanderbilt technologies were highlighted along with prototypes. Ray Lathrop from the MED lab presented the prototype and poster for the Cranial Stable Mount technology and graduate student Joshua Wade showcased the prototype for “IntellicaneTM”, an Instrumented cane for gait recognition, developed at the Robotics and Autonomous Systems Laboratory.

Taylor Jordan (pictured below presenting poster awards), licensing officer with CTTC, served as the chair for the conference's poster session which showcased 30+ emerging medical device technologies from the southeast region. Ashok Choudhury, Sr. licensing officer participated as a panelist at the University Technology Forum session at the conference.

At SEMDA’s venture pitch competition, Vanderbilt startup company “InvisionHeart” won the price for the best emerging company in the venture pitch rounds of the conference.
